1. Who we are

Marrakech Quad Guide (marrakechquadguide.com) is an independent editorial site that compares quad tours, stays and transport in Marrakech. We are not a tour operator and we take no bookings: reservations always happen on the partner platforms linked from this site.

2. What data we collect

This site has no user accounts, no booking forms and no newsletters, so we never ask for your name, email or payment details.

With your consent, we collect anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, country, device type — with IP anonymisation enabled). If you decline, no analytics run at all.

Your cookie choice itself is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) for 180 days, so we do not ask you on every visit.

3. Affiliate links and partners

Marrakech Quad Guide is funded by affiliate commissions: when you book a tour or a stay through the links or widgets on this site (for example GetYourGuide or Booking.com via Stay22), we may earn a commission. It never changes your price, and it never changes what we write.

When you click through to a partner or interact with an embedded widget, that partner processes your data under its own privacy policy. We only ever receive aggregate, anonymous commission reports — never your personal details.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 in consent mode: it stays fully disabled until you accept analytics cookies. The data is aggregated and used for one purpose only — understanding which guides and comparisons are useful, so we can improve them. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

5. Legal basis

Analytics run only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Basic technical logs kept by our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare) for security and delivery are based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and portability of your personal data, and you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Since we hold no directly identifying data about you, the most practical right here is withdrawing analytics consent — one click on “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
